Ways to Personalise a Glass Shower

Even though you can rely on a glass shower to create a consistently sleek look in the bathroom, you may want your version to be more personalised. You can customise glass showers in different ways to inject your personality into the design. Here are some ideas.

Black Matte Framing

One aspect of frameless showers that attracts admiration is the way they look almost invisible, with only minimal hardware pieces holding the structure together. To be different, you could go the other way and emphasise the metal in a fully framed design. For example, say you have a vintage bathroom with a black-framed mirror and black and white tiles. In that case, you could install striking black matte frames.

There's nothing, though, to stop you from taking the same approach with a frameless shower. For example, install large square matte black hinges and a large rectangular black handle. Make sure to echo these pieces with black elements elsewhere in the room. For example, you might have faux black marble tiles on the nearby wall.

Frosted Glass

The glass panels that you use for these showers offer a massive scope for personal expression. You can choose frosted screens, which come in diverse styles. For instance, choose a frosted wave design or glass etched with abstract tree branches. You might alternatively install smooth, evenly frosted glass for a sleek effect to mimic the look of ice. Another possibility is a pattern of repeating small diamond shapes, covering the screen with a geometric aesthetic.

Patterned Glass

Instead, for something different, you might opt for patterned glass. These panels are different to frosted glass as they feature three-dimensional forms that are moulded into the screens. You could, for example, fit shower screens with a rain pattern. Otherwise, combine a patterned and tinted glass by installing blue, fluted panels. Other possible tint colours include bronze, grey, and green.

Unique Configuration

If you establish an off-the-shelf shower, you'll have less scope to express your creativity as you'll have to choose from available enclosures. However, if you pick a frameless shower, the glass panels can be pieced together differently. You could install one vast, expansive piece of glass to section off a wall area for the enclosure, leaving it open at both ends. This massive glass screen could extend from the floor to the ceiling and be decorated with a stunning frosted forest scene. Your bathroom will then have a gorgeous wow factor.
